Anne joined our firm as a full time associate in September 2004 after completing a 2-year clerkship with the Honorable Peggy Stevens McGraw, Circuit Judge in Jackson County, Missouri. Anne is a valued member of the litigation team for her working knowledge of civil, criminal and courtroom procedures. During her clerkship, Anne was exposed to complex civil and criminal litigation, which is reflected in her outstanding ability to advocate on behalf of a wide range of clients.
Anne is admitted to practice in Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska and is an active member in the Lawyer’s Association of Kansas City and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. She is also a graduate of the Kansas City Bar Leadership Academy in 2006. Anne graduated from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. After teaching secondary literature for two years, Anne moved to Omaha, Nebraska to pursue her Juris Doctorate at the Creighton University School of Law. While attending Creighton, Anne was very active in the student bar association as well as university-wide programs and committees. She graduated cum laude in May 2002 and moved to Kansas City for her clerkship. Her practice areas include all aspects of civil litigation, criminal defense, juvenile and family law, and health care law.
Anne received two special awards in 2008: KCMBA Young Lawyers Section’s President’s Award and the Lawyers Assocation of Kansas City’s Public Service Award.
Anne was also on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyer’s Section of LAKC from 2007 through June of 2011. For 2010-2011, she was the president of the board. From 2008 to present time, she has also sat on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Section of the KCMBA. Currently, she is the vice-chair of the special projects committee. For 2010-2011, she was selected by the Kansas City Legal Secretary’s Association as Boss of the Year.
